After riding the subway train for over an hour, they finally reached the city center.

As soon as they left the subway station, Shen Nianshen asked nervously, “Have you gotten pushed by someone in there?”

Sun Tiantian shook her head, “You had protected me so well, how could someone push me.”

For a full hour and a half, Shen Nianshen maintained his position and protected Sun Tiantian in front of his chest, he was afraid that someone would touch and push the girl.

Shen Nianshen took Sun Tiantian’s hand and the two of them walked towards the highway ahead.

Sun Tiantian looked at him and said seriously, “Shen Nianshen, actually you don’t need to be so nervous over me. I’m not as frail as you think, I can live a hard life.”

Although Sun Tiantian grew up in a family that did not need her to worry about food and clothing, and that her family was well off. But her parents have educated her from a young age. She doesn’t act spoiled and she can use anything and eat food that ordinary people eat. She can live a hard life too.

The time was already over 6 o’clock when they got out of the subway. In the early winter, the sky darkens faster. When Sun Tiantian and Shen Nianshen reached the pedestrian area, all the street lights had been turned on. Many colorful lights hung above the trees.

There were lots of couples on the streets on Christmas Eve and it happened to be a place to eat, so most of the restaurants around them were full. There were several restaurants that have to queue.

“I don’t want to stand in line, let’s just eat something else.” Sun Tiantian pulled Shen Nianshen out of the western restaurant, “There is something delicious next street. Let’s just eat some grilled fish, I haven’t eaten it for a long time.”

Shen Nianshen frowned, his gaze stared deeply at Sun Tiantian and was silent for a moment before seriously said, “You don’t have to think about helping me saving money.”

“I don’t want to save your money. I’ve been to the grilled fish shop many times with my friends, it’s really good.” Sun Tiantian spoke while hugging Shen Nianshen’s arm, pulling him forward.

Sun Tiantian really didn’t think about saving Shen Nianshen money, she did want to eat the grilled fish.

But when they got to the next street, they realized that everywhere was just the same, there were people everywhere.

The grilled fish shop that Sun Tiantian used to eat was fully crowded, there were more than a dozen tables that had been set outside the shop.

Sun Tiantian was so sad, she said to Shen Nianshen, “In the future, we’ll just buy the groceries to cook ourselves on Christmas Eve. It’s too busy outside.”

She pursed her lips in annoyance. Shen Nianshen smiled at her, “So what now?”

Sun Tiantian looked around and pointed to a shop across the street, “Let’s just eat there.”

The shop at the opposite was also a grilled fish shop, but the business was rather quiet.

Shen Nianshen glanced across and said, “It seems a bit empty, does the food taste bad?”

“Let’s just try.”

When Sun Tiantian and Shen Nianshen got in there, there was only one table occupied by customers. On Christmas Eve with people lining up everywhere, these circumstances were kind of sad.

Sun Tiantian couldn’t help wondering whether the food might not taste good?

Winter was so cold, Sun Tiantian didn’t want to sit by the window. She took a warmer seat position.

As soon as she sat down, the owner boss came over to hand the menu with a smile.

Sun Tiantian likes to eat pickled grilled fish, so she ordered a portion for two people.

The owner boss happily went to the kitchen to place the orders. Sun Tiantian looked around the empty shop, and then leaned towards Shen Nianshen and whispered, “Ah Nian.”

Shen Nianshen was sterilizing Sun Tiantian’s bowl with hot water on the table. He looked at her, “Yes?”

Sun Tiantian’s eyes shone like a sly little fox, she whispered, “If it doesn’t taste good, can I eat less and you eat more?”

Her tone was so serious that Shen Nianshen could not help but be amused, he felt helpless but also funny, “Okay.”

Sun Tiantian smiled broadly and said happily, “Ah Nian is indeed the best.”

But when the grilled fish was served, it turned out to taste a lot better than Sun Tiantian thought. After one bite, her eyes lit up, and quickly chipped in a piece for Shen Nianshen, “It’s delicious.”

Shen Nianshen smiled, “Eat more if it’s delicious.”

“Auntie, please add a bowl of rice.” Sun Tiantian really likes to eat grilled fish, she can eat three bowls of rice at once.

The owner boss immediately gave a large bowl of rice along with a small wooden spoon, Sun Tiantian spooned into her own bowl.

The rice was white and the fishbone was also white, Shen Nianshen was so afraid that Sun Tiantian will choke on the fishbone. He warned, “Slowly, don’t eat the fishbone.”

Sun Tiantian nodded, but still opened her mouth and ate with her head buried in her bowl.

Shen Nianshen was so worried that the fishbone would get caught in Sun Tiantian’s throat. He put boneless fish meat in a clean bowl, placed it in front of Sun Tiantian so that the girl could eat slowly.

From the start to the end of the meal, the fish bowl in front of Sun Tiantian was never empty. She finished her dinner satisfyingly.

“Don’t want to eat anymore?” Shen Nianshen still separated the fish bones from the meat for Sun Tiantian. Seeing the girl put down her chopsticks, he asked.

Sun Tiantian shook her head, “No, I’m full already.” After speaking, she urged Shen Nianshen, “Now you eat, you haven’t eaten much.”

“I’m not that hungry.” Shen Nianshen took out a tissue from his bag, took one sheet to wipe Sun Tiantian’s mouth.

While wiping her mouth, Sun Tiantian took out a clean bowl and helped Shen Nianshen scoop out a bowl of rice, handing it to him, “Ah Nian, you have to eat.”

The electric stove for grilling the fish was still not turned off, the grilled fish on the plate was still plenty, and still very hot. Shen Nianshen who was stared at like that, helplessly stretched out his hand to close Sun Tiantian’s eyes, “Don’t look at me like that.”

Sun Tiantian took his hand, smiling, and asked, “Why?”

Shen Nianshen, “I won’t be able to eat.”

Sun Tiantian giggled and said, “Alright, I won’t see you anymore.”

She turned her head and looked around smilingly.

But in the end, her eyes back to Shen Nianshen’s face.

Shen Nianshen could not do anything, he could only shake his head and smile, letting the girl do what she wanted.

Eating the grilled fish costs them 88 yuan.

Just when they got out of the shop, a cold wind blew suddenly. Sun Tiantian trembled and pushed herself closer to Shen Nianshen’s embrace. Shen Nianshen opened his jacket and quickly wrapped Sun Tiantian into his embrace.

Sun Tiantian’s entire body was immersed in Shen Nianshen’s embrace, the large jacket almost covered her from head to toe.

Sun Tiantian lifted her head in Shen Nianshen’s embrace, her lips almost touching Shen Nianshen’s chin. Shen Nianshen turned to her and asked, “This way, do you feel warmer?”

Sun Tiantian smiled, “Shen Nianshen, you are so romantic.” Sun Tiantian couldn’t help hugging the young man tightly, pressed her face against Shen Nianshen’s chest and smiled, “I really like it.”

Shen Nianshen smiled, subconsciously wrapping Sun Tiantian’s body even tighter. He lowered his head and gave a soft kiss on the top of her head.

The two of them hugged and stood under the dark tree, after some time they finally returned to the main road hand in hand.

It was nearly 8 or 9 o’clock in the evening, the bright lights were still shining on the street and were immensely lively.

There were pedestrians everywhere, Shen Nianshen held Sun Tiantian and walked slowly along the pedestrian area.

The weather was too cold, Sun Tiantian was not completely healed yet, her nose was runny again when she got blown by the night wind.

Shen Nianshen was worried. He wiped Sun Tiantian’s nose with a tissue as he said, “Do we need to find a place inside?”

Sun Tiantian shook her head, “No way, we’re in the square.”

Shen Nianshen wiped Sun Tiantian’s nose and saw the girl’s cheeks were flushed red. He reached out to touch her and found that her cheeks were very cold, “Let’s buy a mask for you to wear, your face is very cold.”

Not far ahead there was an accessories shop, Shen Nianshen brought Sun Tiantian there. He picked out a mask with some black and white pigs picture printed on it, Sun Tiantian burst out laughing, “This is terrible, I’ll choose myself.”

Sun Tiantian then chose a mask with pink donuts pattern on it, it suited the taste of a teenage girl.

When they walked out of the accessory shop, she said proudly, “These donuts really suit me.”

Shen Nianshen smiled, “Yes, it is.” He reached out and said, “I’ll put it on for you.”

He opened the box and took out the mask.

Sun Tiantian looked up and obediently waited for Shen Nianshen to help her put on the mask.

Shen Nianshen pulled on the rubber, looked down and put it seriously on Sun Tiantian, “There, it won’t be too cold anymore.”

Sun Tiantian’s face was basically small, when she put on a mask, all Shen Nianshen could see was a pair of her pretty eyes. She looked at Shen Nianshen, smiling.

Shen Nianshen saw those eyes, his gaze seemed to be locked there and could not be turned away.

Sun Tiantian found herself being closely stared at by Shen Nianshen, she felt proud in her heart. She hugged Shen Nianshen’s waist and said narcissistically, “Do I look pretty?”

Hearing this, Shen Nianshen laughed and said with an affectionate look, “Yes.”

Sun Tiantian was elated, she looked up and kissed Shen Nianshen’s lips.

When Sun Tiantian smiled happily, her eyes would narrow forming a line.

Shen Nianshen was stunned, his eyes became deeper as he stared at Sun Tiantian and his throat moved slightly.

Half a second later, he suddenly held Sun Tiantian’s face and firmly kissed Sun Tiantian’s lips which were covered in a mask …
